Silver Sage Publishing Services

One person built five publishing properties. We'll show you how the infrastructure works — and help you build yours.

Silver Sage Media is a publishing and distribution operation running on a stack of AI-native tools, automated workflows, and hard-won process. We've launched books through KDP and IngramSpark, built affiliate programs with FTC-compliant disclosure architecture, managed ARC campaigns and pre-launch buzz from a single operator's desk, and run Substack newsletters across multiple brands simultaneously — all without an agency, a marketing team, or a budget that would make a traditional publisher laugh.

That infrastructure is now available to independent authors and small publishers who want to do the same.

What We Do

Publishing Infrastructure

Setting up a book for success before it launches involves more paperwork than writing it. We handle KDP and IngramSpark setup, ISBN assignment and management, pricing configuration across markets, and the technical backend that keeps your book available and properly formatted wherever readers buy.

Distribution Stack

Getting review copies to the right people, listed on the right platforms, at the right time is its own project. We manage BookFunnel and BookSirens setups, NetGalley listings, and advance copy coordination — the unglamorous logistics that determine whether your launch has any reviews when it goes live.

Affiliate & Revenue Operations

The difference between a link in a book recommendation and a compliant, traceable affiliate program is one that most independent authors never close. We build affiliate architectures with proper FTC disclosure language, working telemetry, and partner management — so you know what's converting and can defend your disclosure posture if anyone asks.

Launch Corridor Management

Launch day is the end of a multi-week operation, not the beginning of one. We run pre-launch buzz campaigns, ARC distribution, day-of publication orchestration, and the first week of post-launch monitoring — the window where the algorithm decisions that follow your book for the next year are being made.

How We Work

We offer three engagement models. What's right for you depends on how much of the stack you want built versus run.

Full-Service

We take on the whole publishing infrastructure — setup, operations, and launch corridor — so you can focus on the writing.

Best fit: debut authors with no existing distribution stack who want to start right.

Infrastructure Only

We build the stack and hand it to you. KDP/IngramSpark accounts configured, BookFunnel and affiliate programs set up, process documented. You run it; we did the setup.

Best fit: authors who want control but don't want to reverse-engineer the architecture.

Consultative

You have an existing operation. Something isn't working, or you're about to do something new. We review your setup, identify the gaps, and give you a specific recommendation — not a generic checklist.

Best fit: publishers who've launched before and want a second set of eyes.

Pricing is set project-by-project based on what you're actually building. We're currently accepting a small number of new engagements. If you have a launch window in 2026, start the conversation now.

Why Silver Sage

We don't consult from theory. Every service we offer is something we run in production for our own properties. OGF, GMA, EEC, TUP, and TLC are live publishing operations — Substack newsletters, print books, affiliate programs, launch campaigns — maintained by one person (Greg Maxfield) using the same infrastructure we'd build for you.

That's a different claim than "we've helped 200 authors." It's: we run this, every week, for real, and we're willing to show you exactly how.
